I’m a Scottish-raised, scrappy kid that got the bug to fly.
Obtained Master’s degrees in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering from Brown and Princeton Universities.
Joined the Navy and trained as a Test Pilot. When not flight testing, roamed around the Pacific and Indian Oceans looking for bad guys. Combat experienced courtesy of Desert Storm.
After twenty years, left to join what would become the Mojave Air and Spaceport. Participated as a test pilot in all four private, manned rocket vehicles, under development there: Rotary Rocket’s Roton, Scaled Composites’ SpaceshipOne and SpaceShipTwo and XCOR’s Lynx.
After another twenty years joined the ranks of Northrop at Edwards Air Force Base, working for NASA Armstrong.
And write the occasional book.
